The Operational Risk Management (ORM) division is in search of a seasoned Operational Risk Manager to enhance its team’s proficiency.
In the capacity of an Operational Risk Manager, you will engage with ORM's Global Markets Coverage Team, providing support to the Global Equities sector and Product Control functions. Your responsibilities will encompass the effective identification, management, and oversight of significant operational risks across Equities Business Units, Product Control, and associated support services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute operational risk frameworks, technological solutions, and governance protocols to mitigate losses stemming from internal process failures and emerging threats.
- Concentrate on Equities Derivatives and Equities product oversight for comprehensive risk coverage.
- Conduct independent risk assessments, address underlying causes of operational losses, and collaborate closely with In-Business Operational Risk and Independent Risk Teams.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and recover from operational risks, ensuring adherence to policy implementation and participation in risk committees.
- Work alongside various teams to evaluate and refine metrics, perform assurance reviews, and spearhead corrective measures.
- Disseminate best practices, investigate root causes, and foster risk awareness through training sessions and framework documentation.
- Demonstrate professional skepticism, evaluate risks, and maintain ethical standards to protect the organization’s reputation.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of pertinent experience.
- Previous exposure to trading or product control is advantageous.
- Robust background in Operational Risk; familiarity with other risk domains is beneficial.
- Understanding of Internal Audit or Financial Control is preferred.
- Proficiency in fraud detection, risk management, and global operations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is an asset.
