Job Overview

Availability: Must be flexible to work shifts between Monday - Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Administrative Support Specialist is responsible for executing intricate administrative functions and providing essential support to healthcare professionals and management while ensuring outstanding service to clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit and promote the core values of the organization in daily operations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages trust and teamwork among colleagues.
  • Maintain an orderly and efficient workspace.
  • Travel between locations may be required to cover for colleagues.
  • Welcome clients with a friendly attitude and assist with check-in procedures.
  • Handle client intakes, manage scheduling, conduct audits, upload documents to health records, process correspondence, and maintain filing systems.
  • Respond to calls courteously and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct daily insurance verifications and complete financial assessments.
  • Oversee the collection, reconciliation, and posting of client payments.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and faxes.
  • Address a high volume of email inquiries promptly.
  • Participate in meetings as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in navigating various computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities with both clients and coworkers.
  • Strong technical skills with office equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding time management and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

A valid driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation is necessary.

COMPENSATION: $17/hr
