POSITION TITLE: Receiver / Storeroom

REPORTS TO: Shipping Coordinator/ Supervisor

LOCATION: Canonsburg, PA

DEPARTMENT: Production

JOB LEVEL: 204 : Starting wage: $17.16

STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receiver is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the Storeroom. Responsibilities include managing freight and UPS deliveries, ensuring incoming materials are organized and stored efficiently, and preparing Service Orders and non-conforming materials for shipment as directed. The role also involves selecting parts for work orders, sub-assemblies, and maintaining floor stock. Regular cycle counts and the organization of various paperwork are essential duties. Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized work environment is crucial, and a strong willingness to learn is expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the facility punctually, well-groomed, and ready to work.
  • Scan and verify all incoming products against packing slips.
  • Coordinate the flow of products to the production floor.
  • Utilize forklift skills for loading and unloading trucks.
  • Document and label all outgoing products according to company protocols.
  • Manage the Return to Vendor (RTV) process effectively.
  • Inspect received merchandise for damage or discrepancies and report to management.
  • Assist in training and developing new associates as necessary.
  • Secure all assets and inventory, adhering to loss prevention and key control procedures.
  • Operate mobile equipment as required, including front loaders and forklifts.
  • Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to interact with drivers and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently and seek assistance when needed.
  • Attention to detail is essential.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, with strong mathematical skills.
  • Minimum of three years of experience operating a forklift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Job Demands

The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, endure extreme temperatures, and stand for extended periods. Exposure to loud noise levels and working with hand and power tools is expected. The environment may contain dirt, grease, and dust, necessitating manual dexterity and clear communication abilities.

Working Conditions

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday during the day shift.
