POSITION SUMMARY
The Receiver is accountable for the daily management of the storeroom operations. Responsibilities include handling freight and UPS deliveries, ensuring incoming materials are organized and stored efficiently. The role also involves packaging and dispatching service orders and non-conforming items promptly as instructed. Additionally, the Receiver will prepare parts for work orders, sub-assemblies, and maintain floor stock. Regular cycle counts and meticulous organization of paperwork are essential. Maintaining a safe, tidy, and clean workspace is crucial. A strong willingness and ability to learn quickly are vital for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive at the facility punctually, well-groomed, and ready to work.
- Scan and verify all received products against packing slips.
- Coordinate the flow of products to the production floor.
- Utilize forklift skills to load and unload trucks.
- Document and label all outgoing products in accordance with company standards.
- Manage the Return to Vendor (RTV) process effectively.
- Inspect received merchandise for damage or discrepancies and report to management.
- Assist in training and developing new associates as required.
- Secure all assets and manage physical inventory while adhering to loss prevention protocols.
- Operate mobile equipment as necessary, including front loaders and forklifts.
- Strictly follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to engage with drivers and customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capable of working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ability to work independently and seek assistance when needed.
- Attention to detail is essential.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, with strong mathematical skills.
- Minimum of three years of experience operating a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Job Demands
The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 lbs, work in extreme temperatures, and stand for extended periods. Exposure to loud noise levels and the operation of hand and power tools is expected. The work environment may contain dirt, grease, and dust, necessitating manual dexterity and the ability to communicate clearly.
Working Conditions
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday during the day shift.
