POSITION TITLE: Receiver / Storeroom

REPORTS TO: Shipping Coordinator/ Supervisor

LOCATION: Canonsburg, PA

DEPARTMENT: Production

JOB LEVEL: 204 : Starting wage: $17.16

STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receiver is accountable for the daily management of the Storeroom. Responsibilities include handling freight and UPS shipments, delivering or storing incoming materials systematically, and packaging and shipping Service Orders along with non-conforming materials promptly as directed. The role also involves picking parts for all work orders, sub-assemblies, and floor stock, performing cycle counts as instructed, and preparing, organizing, and filing various paperwork and documents. Maintaining a safe, neat, and clean work area is essential, along with a strong ability and motivation to learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the facility punctually, well-groomed, mentally alert, and physically capable of performing tasks.
  • Scan and verify all received products against packing slips.
  • Coordinate product flow to the production floor.
  • Utilize forklift skills to unload and load tractor trailers.
  • Ensure all outgoing products are properly documented and labeled per company standards.
  • Manage the Return to Vendor (RTV) process.
  • Visually inspect received merchandise and notify management of any damages or discrepancies.
  • Assist in training and developing associates as necessary.
  • Secure all assets and physical inventory, adhering to loss prevention and key control procedures.
  • Operate mobile equipment as required, including front loaders, skid steers, and forklifts.
  • Strictly follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Ability to engage with drivers and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Capacity to work independently and seek assistance when needed.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, with strong math skills.
  • Three years of experience operating a forklift.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Physical Job Demands

Must be able to lift 60 lbs, work in extreme temperatures, stand for extended periods, and be exposed to loud noise levels. The role requires operating hand and power tools for prolonged periods and working in an environment with dirt, grease, and dust. Manual dexterity is necessary to operate specialized equipment, and the ability to hear and speak clearly is essential. High levels of concentration may be required in a busy area.

Working Conditions

Standard working hours are Monday through Friday during the Day Shift.
