POSITION SUMMARY
POSITION TITLE: Receiver / Storeroom
REPORTS TO: Shipping Coordinator/Supervisor
LOCATION: Canonsburg, PA
DEPARTMENT: Production
JOB LEVEL: 204 : Starting wage: $17.16
STATUS: Non-Exempt
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Receiver is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the storeroom. Responsibilities include managing freight and UPS deliveries, ensuring the orderly storage of incoming materials, and packaging and dispatching service orders and non-conforming items promptly. The role also involves preparing parts for various work orders and conducting cycle counts as needed. Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean workspace is essential, along with a strong willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrive at the facility punctually, well-groomed, and ready for work.
- Scan and verify all incoming products against packing slips.
- Facilitate the flow of products to the production floor.
- Utilize forklift skills for loading and unloading trucks.
- Ensure all outgoing products are accurately documented and labeled per company standards.
- Manage the Return to Vendor (RTV) process effectively.
- Inspect received merchandise for damage or discrepancies and report to management.
- Assist in training and developing new associates as required.
- Secure all assets and inventory, adhering to loss prevention and key control protocols.
- Operate mobile equipment such as front loaders and forklifts as necessary.
- Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, with strong mathematical skills.
- Minimum of three years of experience operating forklifts.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs, endure extreme temperatures, and stand for extended periods. The role may involve exposure to loud noise levels and requires manual dexterity for operating specialized equipment. Clear communication abilities are necessary, and a high level of concentration is required in a busy environment.
Working Conditions
Standard working hours are Monday through Friday during the day shift.
