Key Responsibilities
- Utilize system engineering knowledge to evaluate design concepts, ensuring component and system reliability, maintainability, and availability to optimize system performance throughout its lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with research and development as well as engineering teams to facilitate product innovation and system enhancement.
- Deliver creative solutions aimed at improving system performance and reliability.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), potential problem assessments, and root cause investigations.
- Design and execute comprehensive experiments, including accelerated testing, to validate product reliability.
- Work alongside project engineers to liaise with external suppliers for the procurement of necessary components and hardware.
- Thoroughly document and communicate findings and results.
- More experienced candidates will be expected to provide technical guidance within small teams to drive program execution.
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, openness to feedback, and a commitment to continuous professional growth.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering, particularly focusing on system reliability and lifecycle management.
- Strong foundational knowledge in mechanical engineering principles, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in developing thermal fluid systems.
- Experience in conducting FMEA, risk assessments, and root cause analysis, along with robust problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to design experiments with practical skills.
- Adept at managing and prioritizing multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within small teams.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Prior experience in the electronics or hardware sector is advantageous.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
