Job Description

JETCOOL Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support our R&D and early-stage product development programs. The successful candidate will lead and work closely with a team of inter-disciplined engineers to deliver complex technical solutions to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with business and commercial leaders to understand customer requirements and translate them into internal project plans.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams through the product and system development cycle, from concept development to prototyping and validation.
  • Develop and own initial product functional specs and ensure the final product meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Lead technical problem-solving and collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide innovative solutions.
  • Engage with external vendors to procure parts and hardware, form partnerships for new capabilities.
  • Actively manage product development stages and milestones.
  • Manage IP generation, protection, and ensure product leadership during the development cycle.
  • Effectively document and communicate progress and results to leadership and customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 7+ years of work experience, with 2+ years of technical program/project management experience.
  • Excellent first-principles knowledge in mechanical engineering, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and electrical engineering.
  • Track record of delivering complex technical solutions to customers with high quality and on schedule.
  • Strong R&D project management skills and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and risk analysis skills.
  • Ability to develop thermal fluids systems.
  • Must be able to lead customer interaction and relationship building.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Ability to lead/work independently and lead small teams.

Bonus Points
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
  • Industry experience in fluid system, compute, or electric vehicle applications.
  • Experience in providing technical leadership in the framework of small engineering teams.
  • Savvy with electronics systems and/or electronics packaging.
  • Experience with product development cycles involving environmental and reliability test campaigns.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, technology startup.
  • Industry experience in aerospace/defense, automotive, or data centers.
