CASA of McHenry County is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Assistant to support our fundraising efforts. This part-time role will assist the development team in planning and executing fundraising events, researching grants, and providing administrative support.
Responsibilities:- Assist in planning and coordinating fundraising events, including researching and executing committee ideas, inputting data into fundraising platforms, and creating auction packages.
- Support the Events and Communications Manager in managing event budgets, expenses, and timelines.
- Oversee and lead smaller event initiatives, such as Coins for CASA and Santa Run.
- Research potential grants for CASA's grant writer to apply for.
- Perform various data entry and administrative tasks for the Development Director.
- Possession of a passion for CASA's mission and a fun, creative personality.
- Experience with event and/or fundraising databases is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Collaborative and team-player mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Travel Requirements:A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work, events, and office errands as needed.
Accountability and Location:The Development Assistant reports directly to the Executive Director and may work a hybrid schedule from the CASA of McHenry County office in Crystal Lake, IL and from home.
