Job Title: Junior Project Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Project Manager to join our team at General Kinematics, a leading manufacturer of vibrating equipment for bulk material processing.

As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, sales, and logistics, to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior project managers and stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and task dependencies.
  • Conduct initial risk assessment and mitigation planning.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project tasks are executed according to the project plan.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with team members to provide updates and gather status reports.
  • Collaborate with department managers to allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure that resources are utilized efficiently to meet project goals.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts in conjunction with finance and accounting teams.
  • Monitor project expenditures and track against budget allocations.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and milestones achieved.
  • Facilitate two-way effective communication between different teams and departments involved in the project.
  • Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
  • Participate in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial technology, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in managing new construction and/or new equipment installations.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
  • Blueprint reading required (AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10-15%.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Background check is a requirement of the hiring process.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Bi-lingual abilities a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus.
  • Certificate in applied project management a plus.
