ABOUT THE ROLE:

With over 430 retail locations worldwide, our associates play a vital role in our success. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating visually appealing displays, addressing customer inquiries, and facilitating an efficient checkout process, our associates provide memorable customer experiences while supporting the Store Leadership team in fulfilling Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of Connecting Active People with Their Passions.

As a Retail Associate, you will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring outstanding in-store experiences through positive customer interactions. In this role, you will utilize your natural problem-solving and sales skills to address customer inquiries and make compelling product recommendations while upholding Columbia Sportswear Company's values to enhance customer service and teamwork.

YOUR IMPACT:

? Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing consumer inquiries regarding product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences (e.g., demonstrate and explain merchandise, suggest suitable options, etc.).

Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stockroom, or other inventory locations.

Efficiently and accurately perform all required cash register transactions (e.g., sales, returns, exchanges, connecting customers to loyalty programs).

Contribute to store profitability by accurately and efficiently receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow.

QUALIFICATIONS:

No specific educational requirements (High School Diploma or GED preferred)

2 years or less of experience in a similar role

Proficient in operating a Point of Sale (POS) system and other in-store computerized systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Frequently in a dynamic environment that may be physical or strenuous in nature (often requiring the ability to move items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may involve using specialized equipment, and may expose you to dust and noise.

Occasionally requires the ability to work in a stationary position.

Ability to communicate clearly with others.

Availability to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and in response to business trends.
