ABOUT THE ROLE:

With over 430 retail locations worldwide, our associates are vital to our success. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to crafting eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and managing an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable shopping experiences while supporting the Store Leadership team in fulfilling Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of Connecting Active People with Their Passions.

As a Retail Associate, you will act as a brand ambassador, ensuring outstanding in-store experiences through positive customer interactions. In this role, you will utilize your natural problem-solving and sales skills to respond to customer inquiries and provide compelling product recommendations while upholding Columbia Sportswear Company's values to enhance customer service and teamwork.

YOUR IMPACT:

? Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing consumer questions or concerns regarding product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences (e.g., demonstrate and explain merchandise, suggest suitable options for customers, etc.).

Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stockroom, or other inventory locations.

Execute all required cash register transactions (e.g., sales, returns, exchanges, connecting customers to loyalty programs) efficiently and accurately.

Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow in the stores accurately and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)

2 years or less of experience in a similar role

Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and other in-store computerized systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Frequently in a dynamic environment (i.e., requires the ability to move about constantly) that can be physical or strenuous in nature (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently use specialized equipment, and may have exposure to dust and noise.

Occasionally requires the ability to work in a stationary position.

Ability to communicate clearly with others.

Availability to work a flexible, often changing retail schedule to support business needs, which may change seasonally and in response to business trends or forecasts.
