Veterinary Technician

As a Veterinary Technician at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital - Los Angeles, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our team of experienced veterinarians. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, caring for a wide range of exotic and emergency cases.
Key Responsibilities- Support veterinarians in ensuring high-quality patient care and advocating for pets and their owners.
- Assist with surgeries, procedures, and medical records management, adhering to state Veterinary Practice Act guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, utilizing practice systems for support.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients, ensuring medical charts are up-to-date.
- Employ safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Be a supportive team member, guiding, mentoring, and collaborating with colleagues.
- Established record of working with exotic and zoo patients.
- Comfortable caring for dogs, cats, and other animals requiring emergency or urgent care.
