Mental Health Triage Specialist

The Mental Health Triage Specialist plays a vital role in our collaborative team at the City's 911 Call Center (CTECC). This position is responsible for clinical screening, triage, de-escalation, consultation, and referrals. Our team's mission is to divert police by connecting individuals who call 911 in mental health crisis to appropriate community-based resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screening and assessment of individuals in mental health crisis
  • Triage and de-escalation of high-risk situations
  • Consultation and referral to community-based resources
  • Follow-up telephone calls and provision of referrals
Requirements:
  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related field
  • Current and valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Experience in crisis intervention, severe mental illness, hotline, and/or community mental health preferred
