Job Summary:

Springstone, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Records Specialist to join our team at Woodland Springs East, a 96-bed behavioral hospital located in Conroe, Texas. As a Medical Records Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient medical records, while maintaining compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in administering health information services, including documentation, storage, and retrieval of patient records.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures for documenting, storing, and retrieving patient information, as well as processing medical-legal documents, insurance data, and correspondence requests.
  • Maintain patient medical records, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent, with some college education preferred.
  • Prior experience in information management and psychiatric healthcare facility settings is preferred.
