Multidisciplined Nuclear Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Multidisciplined Nuclear Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will possess a strong background in nuclear engineering, with experience in procurement, compliance, and technical specifications. You will work closely with laboratory requestors to develop adequate technical specifications, ensure quality assurance requirements are invoked, and provide engineering training to requestors on proper methods for developing high-quality technical requirements.
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain technical specifications, functional requirements, and drawings
- Review and evaluate potential suppliers based on future business needs
- Recommend, perform, and implement process improvements using lean/6 Sigma principles
- Collaborate with laboratory requestors to resolve technical issues that develop during the course of a contract
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience reviewing and developing technical specifications, functional requirements, and drawings
- Knowledge of machine and fabrication, construction, and/or service contracts
- Experience with document reviews, engineering evaluations/analysis, and quality and safety standards
- Competitive salary range: $83,000 - $130,700 annually
