Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As an Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with our design team and be responsible for reviewing calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications for building construction and site infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and approve electrical design drawings and specifications
- Perform construction inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Develop and review construction cost estimates and evaluate project feasibility
- Interface with facility sponsors, architect & engineering firms, and contractors to ensure project success
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Prior experience in the consulting engineering field
- Familiarity with Codes (National Electrical Code and New York State Building Code)
