Job Title: Clinical Liaison

The Clinical Liaison serves as the primary marketing representative for Nexus Health Systems Ltd, responsible for clinical assessments of potential referrals to the facility. This role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills to foster partnerships with referral sources and other professionals in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quarterly marketing plans to achieve budgeted admits.
  • Conduct sales calls to existing and potential referral sources, recording call activity in the system.
  • Track physician non-monetary items for compliance and submit to the Marketing Directors.
  • Establish and cultivate professional relationships with referral sources to generate repeat referral opportunities.
  • Seek out managed care opportunities and work with the NCH Director of Professional Relations to cultivate the same.
  • Complete weekly calendars and contact reports with timely submission per departmental direction.
  • Attend conferences and professional seminars as requested to promote the facility.
  • Provide timely and detailed input to the marketing budget.
  • Consistently complete and maintain data in the CRM (MarketWare).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the hospital and marketplace to stay abreast of healthcare changes and/or trends.
  • Perform competitive analysis of competitor facilities periodically.
  • Conduct presentations and tours of the facility to potential referral sources and families.
  • Perform clinical assessments to determine the appropriateness and acceptance of potential admissions.
  • Maintain timely attendance and active participation in Nexus marketing education events.
  • Cost-effectively perform marketing duties, consult the director on plans, costs, and options before scheduling events/placing orders, submit expense reports quickly, and adhere to company policies on approved expenses.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources.
  • Effectively, timely, and accurately report and/or communicate activities, progress, issues, and/or concerns to the CEO, VP, Sales, and Area Sales Director as appropriate.
  • Work with the facility Marketing Director and VP of Sales and Marketing on an ongoing basis regarding concerns and issues that impact census building in the facility, respond to requests, participate in field ride-along and training, etc.

This role requires a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, marketing principles, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in case management or rehabilitation nursing and referral development, with a minimum of two years of marketing responsibility and referral development in the healthcare industry.
