Job Title: Patient Liaison

At Retina Consultants of Texas, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Liaison to join our team. As a Patient Liaison, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their journey with our practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding treatment, symptoms, and prescriptions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with physicians and staff to schedule tests, obtain pre-authorizations, and relay results to patients.
  • Manage prescription refills, send and receive medical records, and complete patient paperwork as needed.
  • Provide administrative support to the clinic, including data entry, data retrieval, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure seamless communication and care.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant certification preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a front or back office setting, preferably in ophthalmology or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to master multiple computer systems and software, including electronic health records.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and coding is a plus.
