IT Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all technological endpoints including computers, servers, networks, and mobile devices.
  • Manage vulnerabilities and ensure timely security updates across all devices.
  • Deploy new systems utilizing SCCM/Autopilot and configure workstations effectively.
  • Administer Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and regulate user permissions within Active Directory.
  • Track help desk inquiries and provide troubleshooting support.
  • Engage in contract discussions, manage budgets, and procure resources while adhering to established policies and maintaining an inventory of essential components.
  • Document system configurations for hardware and software, including network schematics, operational procedures, and change records.
  • Oversee backup processes and ensure their reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standard operating procedures regarding IT operations, procurement, security measures, data backups, and electronic waste management.
  • Administer the Avaya VoIP communication system.
  • Travel may be necessary to support remote operations.
  • Execute special projects or additional tasks as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior IT role.
  • Proficient understanding of computer systems, networking, mobile technology, and Microsoft applications including Windows 10 & 11, Server 2016+, O365, Teams, and Active Directory.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Hyper-V, Forscout, Tanium, Carbon Black, Global Protect, Intune, SCCM, Meraki, Cherwell, and PrinterLogic.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires frequent sitting and the use of hands for operating a computer and telephone. Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching are necessary. The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for equipment setup is required. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The position is based in a standard office setting with a moderate noise level. Standard work hours are 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
