Job Summary

HonorVet Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Library Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our library services team, you will be responsible for the physical storage and retrieval of materials in our Library Collections Annex (LCA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Materials Handling: Performs duties associated with the physical storage and retrieval of materials in the LCA, utilizing industrial lifting equipment and specialized training and certification.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for accuracy and consistency of materials accessioned into inventory control system, ensuring seamless integration with our digital library services.
  • Digitization and Scanning: Uses digitization tools to produce and deliver copies of materials requested from library users and members of other institutions, maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to established procedures.
  • Customer Service: Provides library users with timely access to library materials through both physical delivery and digitization activities, ensuring exceptional customer service and support.
  • Warehouse Operations: Maintains a safe and efficient warehouse environment, performing daily safety checks, and ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of industrial lifting equipment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using computers and computer applications, with the ability to learn new technologies and systems necessary to maintain effective job performance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Works collaboratively with other staff members to retrieve, search, scan, and reproduce library material, communicating effectively and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Education: Four-year college or university degree, or two-year degree and two years equivalent experience; or four years equivalent experience required.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in materials handling, inventory management, and digitization.
  • Skills: Excellent attention to detail, ability to interpret complicated instructions, and use judgment within established procedures without close supervision.
  • Certifications: Certification and training on Raymond Order Picker and Raymond Walkie Stacker Lift, with the ability to work at heights not exceeding 35 feet.
