About the Role:

The Brown University Library is seeking a highly skilled E-Resources Discovery and Access Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Scholarly Resources Department, this position will be responsible for managing the Library's e-resources metadata to support and maximize e-resource discovery in the Alma/Primo environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop local workflows for providing and maintaining quality metadata for electronic resources.
  • Provide leadership and expertise for establishing and maintaining stable and consistent online access to e-resources through coordination and leadership of e-resource troubleshooting.
  • Engage subject librarians, vendors, and staff in the process to ensure seamless e-resource access.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Library Expert-Data Management to develop assessment metrics for electronic resources.

Requirements:

  • MLIS degree from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent experience and training.
  • Successful experience in staff supervision and training in a library environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and demonstrated proficiency with current and emerging practices for electronic resource access and discovery.
