Starting pay: $19.11/hr. Final compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities Overview:

This role involves supporting members with inquiries related to TruWest products, services, and account information. Duties include assisting with branch operations, teller functions, opening new accounts, and processing loans. Responsibilities also encompass verifying information on applications, approving or declining service requests in compliance with credit union policies, and managing member relationships to foster retention and growth through sales of deposit and loan products.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of Certifications A - D of the TruAchievement Branch Program is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year in a Teller II role or similar sales experience in a financial institution is necessary.

Knowledge and Skills:

Applicants should demonstrate strong sales and referral capabilities. Advanced knowledge of TruWest products and services is essential to identify cross-selling opportunities that benefit members. Familiarity with credit union policies, basic lending regulations, and proficiency in mathematical calculations with accuracy are required. Intermediate to advanced computer skills, particularly with the TruWest system, are necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities, are essential. Candidates should be able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess members' financial needs through profiling and promote suitable products and services to maximize sales opportunities while achieving established service standards.
2. Perform all Teller-related duties competently.
3. Manage lobby traffic effectively, providing personalized service to all members and seeking opportunities to exceed their expectations.
4. Utilize the lobby management application, Lobby Tracker, efficiently.
5. Complete and process product, service, and loan applications accurately, interacting with members regarding their submissions.
6. Open and manage all deposit accounts and accurately originate loan products, ensuring compliance with legal documentation requirements.
7. Understand and assist with Business Accounts, IRAs, and other specialized accounts during the opening process.
8. Maintain a proactive approach to member education regarding financial options by actively listening and responding to their needs.
9. Perform duties related to Notary and Signature Guarantee transactions.
10. Adhere to all credit union policies and procedures, including compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and confidentiality standards.
11. Conduct successful outbound sales calls to existing and potential members while addressing incoming inquiries.
12. Develop and maintain a personal 'book of business,' following up with members regularly and identifying sales opportunities.
13. Ensure proper processing of source documents and negotiables according to established procedures.
14. Understand and adhere to electronic check processing and anti-fraud measures.
15. Demonstrate knowledge of all eServices offered by the credit union and assist members in utilizing these services effectively.

2. Exhibit high energy and sales proficiency during each member interaction.
3. Complete member transactions and assignments promptly, organizing work effectively.
4. Communicate professionally with colleagues and members, both verbally and in writing.
5. Utilize downtime productively.
