We are seeking a highly motivated Licensed Psychologist Manager to join our Psychology Department at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Benner Township. As a key member of our team, you will oversee and participate in the activities of subordinate psychological staff, providing tailored treatment and education to inmates.

In this role, you will be responsible for screening inmates referred for psychiatric and mental health services, making appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment, conducting psychological assessments, and administering and interpreting diagnostic measures. You will also provide individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of inmates into society.

As the administrative supervisor, you will contribute to the development of psychological services programs, assist in creating and integrating new policies and procedures, and develop and implement a counseling program to address adjustment issues in daily life, social interactions, and work environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and participate in the activities of subordinate psychological staff
  • Screen inmates referred for psychiatric and mental health services
  • Conduct psychological assessments and administer diagnostic measures
  • Provide individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions
  • Develop and implement psychological services programs

Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist
  • One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, or behavioral dysfunction
  • Valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board

Benefits:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55
  • Salary: $86,299.00 (before taxes)
