General Purpose of the Position
As a Client Engagement Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the studio's front-of-house operations, enhancing member experiences, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate possesses strong customer service skills and excels in building relationships. The Client Engagement Coordinator is tasked with ensuring seamless daily operations within the studio while connecting with members and prospective clients. This role requires a commitment to promoting the health and wellness benefits associated with a healthy lifestyle.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Culture
  • Deliver and uphold the highest standards of customer service while effectively communicating with management regarding service-related issues.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment within the studio at all times.
  • Exemplify studio activities through active participation (leading by example).
Sales and Customer Service
  • Show genuine care for our members by maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor.
  • Greet members and guests promptly, enthusiastically, and with a smile to create a friendly and positive atmosphere upon entering the studio.
  • Surpass monthly personal sales targets set by the Area Manager.
  • Establish and maintain an effective referral program.
  • Accurately document interactions and customer service records using established systems.
  • Conduct studio tours for prospective and current program holders.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new members.
  • Collaborate closely with the fitness team to fulfill the sales process and studio operations.
Operations
  • Participate in at least two scheduled workouts per week.
  • Process cash and credit card transactions accurately, including refunds.
  • Implement retention strategies and manage member change requests, including upgrades, downgrades, freezes, and cancellations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to member inquiries and concerns.
  • Conduct proper onboarding for all clients using the necessary forms and agreements, ensuring compliance.
  • Attend and engage in all relevant training programs.
  • Complete ongoing education through the learning and development platform.
  • Be present during monthly staff meetings to discuss strengths and opportunities for the studio and stay informed about current promotions.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in the lobby, front desk areas, bathrooms, showers, retail space, and fitness room, adhering to local and corporate standards.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service with strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Functional computer skills required - proficiency in MS Office, internet navigation, and basic software use.
  • High school diploma preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Flexible schedule availability to meet studio needs, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Physical Demands
This position operates within a fitness studio. The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.   • This role may require standing and walking for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
  • Frequent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Basic math skills required for calculating change, commissions, and discounts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
