Job Title: Dialysis Clinical Coordinator

At US Renal Care, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and creating a culture of diversity and inclusion. As a Dialysis Clinical Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in our mission to change the lives of everyone living with kidney disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with management and operation of the dialysis clinic, assuming full responsibility in the absence of the Administrator.
  • Coordinate clinical and operational processes to improve patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed treatments.
  • Plan and coordinate patient scheduling to ensure timely acceptance and effective staffing levels.
  • Ensure effective use of supplies and staff labor hours.
  • Update logs and send dialysis run sheets and logs to billing.
  • Perform duties as assigned to meet patient care or operational needs.
Outcomes:
  • Coordinate functions of all departments and develop standards for measuring patient care services.
  • Work with Administrator to maintain chronological and thorough documentation in patient records.
  • Promote quality management program through education and involvement of staff and patients.
  • Assist with program's target goals for patient outcomes.
  • Review incident reports and make recommendations as needed.
Operational Readiness:
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including healthcare professionals practice act requirements.
  • Assure clinic compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist Administrator with development and implementation of Corrective Action Plans.
  • May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.
Partnerships:
  • Maintain collaborative working relationship with Medical Director and physicians.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with Administrators, area hospitals, agencies, vendors, and the community.
  • Actively promote GUEST customer service standards.
Staff Development:
  • Ensure staff meet required qualifications and perform duties within established limitations.
  • Serve as a resource for patient needs and concerns, staff education, and in-service sessions.
  • Assist with recruitment, training, development, and supervision of personnel.

Requirements:

  • Current RN license in applicable state.
  • 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
  • CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Confirmation of ability to distinguish all primary colors.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a leadership position and perform in new and emergent situations with sound judgment.
