Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Registration/Scheduling Representative to join our team at Clarke County Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient registration and scheduling, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and hospital staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and direct patients, visitors, and sales representatives to the appropriate department or staff member, utilizing AIDET principles.
  • Telephone Management: Answer and transfer calls in a clear, calm, and professional manner, screening calls by urgency and routing them promptly and accurately to the appropriate party.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Receive and interview patients or responsible individuals to gather, verify, and enter demographic and insurance information into the electronic health record, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule, preregister, cancel, and reschedule tests and procedures for clinics and hospital, coordinating with departments and practitioners to ensure medical necessity and patient needs are met.
  • Insurance and Financial Management: Verify insurance benefits, educate patients on benefits, and make arrangements for payment of co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate and coordinate services with internal departments, internal and external practitioner office staff, and patients, ensuring seamless communication and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in data entry, communication systems, and computers preferred, as well as general/medical office experience and electronic health record or medical office software experience.
  • Skills: Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, accuracy, communication, computer, social, and basic math and critical thinking skills.
  • Qualifications: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information, work effectively under stressful situations, and understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Work Schedule

Monday-Friday: 10:30am-7:00pm, Weekends: 7:30am-5:00pm, Full-Time: 40 hours per week.
