Position Overview
The Electrical Project Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Electrical Manager by assisting in the planning, directing, and coordination of all electrical activities, including the management of electrical subcontractors. This position is crucial in the early stages of project development, overseeing organization, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising field construction activities.
- Take responsibility for the execution of assigned projects.
- Promote and enforce safety as a primary concern.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisory staff, clients, contractors, and design professionals to ensure smooth construction processes.
- Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of electrical tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Help prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking documentation.
- Conduct inspections and reviews to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Assist in evaluating change order requests and preparing them for client presentation.
- Contribute to quoting new projects by preparing detailed job bids.
- Support the project management team in reporting productivity and project activities.
- Assist in reviewing and approving subcontractor invoices and managing client payments.
- Facilitate client interactions and communications effectively.
- Contribute to the management of the project closeout process.
- Availability for overtime and consistent attendance is required.
Qualifications
We seek individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the management of electrical projects. Candidates should possess strong verbal communication skills, a solid understanding of safety policies, and a willingness to comply with quality control standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential, and experience with Primavera Scheduling software is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be capable of climbing heights exceeding 100 feet and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally. The role requires working in extreme temperatures and involves considerable overtime. Some travel to various job sites may be necessary. The ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, crawl, and bend is essential.
