Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Clarke County Hospital. As a key member of our patient services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and representatives with a professional demeanor, answering and transferring calls efficiently, and maintaining positive patient relations.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Gather and verify patient information accurately, schedule tests and procedures efficiently, and ensure understanding and completion of required forms.
  • Insurance and Payment: Verify insurance benefits, educate patients, and collect payments while reconciling daily activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate services with internal and external teams, and assist in training new employees.
Performance Criteria
  • Customer Focus: Prioritize customer satisfaction and strive to meet or exceed patient expectations.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Regularly attend work and maintain a high level of punctuality.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Participate in meetings and team decisions, and develop a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Education and Competency: Complete annual education and competency requirements, and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience with data entry and computers is preferred, and medical office experience is desired.
  • Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills, ability to work effectively under pressure, and fluency in English with multicultural sensitivity.
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday: 10:30am - 7:00pm, Weekends: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Full-Time: 40 hours per week
