Senior Merchandising Director Job Description

At Rooms To Go, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandising Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability through strategic merchandising and category management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Execute Merchandising Strategies: Create and implement merchandising plans that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead Category Management: Oversee the analysis and management of product lifecycles, ensuring optimal product assortment and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to drive business results and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide Leadership and Coaching: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay Ahead of Market Trends: Analyze market drivers and competitor activity to inform merchandising decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements:
  • 6+ Years of Retail Management Experience: Proven track record of success in retail management, with a strong understanding of merchandising and category management principles.
  • Strong Business Acumen: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
