About the Role

The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to provide high-level administrative support to the CCYA Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and submitting accurate overtime leave submissions for staff, working with HR to provide in-processing and out-processing paperwork, and reviewing and approving leave for staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage office activities and administrative work, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations
  • Provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills, drafting correspondence, and preparing interview packets
  • Conduct fingerprinting for potential new hires and submit completed interview packets to HR
  • Perform data entry and reconciliation tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant or office manager required
  • Experience with data entry and reconciliation preferred
