Position Summary:
As an Event Coordination Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of events by collaborating with group coordinators and hosts. Your role will involve:
- Engaging with event hosts prior to functions to confirm arrangements and introduce yourself.
- Reviewing banquet event orders to gather essential guest information and determine the appropriate setup, timeline, and specific guest requirements.
- Addressing and fulfilling any special requests related to banquet events, ensuring compliance with all arrangements.
In addition, you will:
- Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security, reporting any incidents or unsafe conditions to management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
- Welcome guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating their needs and expressing genuine appreciation.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and guests, using clear and professional language.
- Develop and nurture positive working relationships to support team objectives.
Physical Requirements:
This position may require:
- Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
- Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Navigating through various environments, including narrow or elevated spaces.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a related field.
