Job Overview

Cadre is seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team in Northern Virginia. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for delivering superior financial insights and leadership to support our business operations.

This role involves occasional domestic travel and requires a strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements. You will work closely with project teams and partners to strengthen communications and working relationships, while demonstrating effective interpersonal influencing skills.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing accounting services for business units, producing work papers to support financial statements and tax reporting, and representing the CFO function within project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accounting services for business units, including financial statement preparation and tax reporting.
  • Produce work papers to support financial statements and tax reporting, and provide timely and accurate reporting.
  • Represent the CFO function within project teams, acting as a financial expert and providing guidance on financial matters.
  • Prepare business unit, payroll, and other tax forms as required, and advise business operations on domestic and international taxes.
  • Display and use knowledge of domestic and international accounting practices, and provide direct interface with internal oversight bodies.
  • Assist senior managers with administrative procedures, and use knowledge of budget formulation to support project reporting and management of rolling expenditure forecasts.
  • Provide advice on internal controls, corporate structures, and capital flows, and maintain relationship management with other accountants and corporate business partners.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly, or the ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years in accounting or bookkeeping plus education.
  • Domestic travel may be required, but not frequent.
  • Familiarity with preparing financial statements in accounting software.
  • Ability to take the initiative and work independently as well as part of a project team.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, influences those who do not report to them.
Desired Qualifications
  • 1-3 Years Tax Preparation experience.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Exposure to international accounting standards or international accounting.
