The U.S. Army is seeking highly skilled individuals to fill the role of Dental Specialist. As a key member of the Army's dental team, you will assist Army dentists in the examination and treatment of patients, as well as help manage dental offices.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare dental operatory and assist dentist during patient exams.
- Administer anesthesia and place/remove sutures as needed.
- Prepare restorative and impression materials.
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and operate resuscitative equipment.
To be eligible for this role, you must have a strong interest in biology and chemistry, as well as excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow detailed procedures. You will undergo 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training and 8 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, where you will learn essential skills such as preventive dentistry, dental office procedures, radiology techniques, and dental hygiene procedures.
