Chemical Process Technician

Join Air Liquide, a global leader in the gas industry, as a Chemical Operator in our Newport Operations Group. This role is a critical part of our Manufacturing Group, responsible for operating production and testing equipment on a 12-hour shift. As a Chemical Operator, you will work closely with our Manufacturing Supervisor and be part of a team that values diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate automatic and manual chemical process equipment, following operating procedures and specifications to produce specific products.
- Perform complex liquid/chemical batch manufacturing, maintaining a familiarity with various production machines.
- Monitor and control process variables, such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates.
- Route product samples for quality control inspection and complete preventive maintenance on a regular basis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or 10 years of directly related manufacturing experience.
- 1+ years of Industrial Manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience with C1D1 and C1D2 Explosion Proof environments, particularly in hazardous material handling and solvent extraction.
- Good written and computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and handle occasional overtime as needed.
- Competitive hourly rate of $25.75 in DE.
