Job Summary:

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of product packing and shipping, ensuring compliance with established procedures and commercial standards. This role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage priorities and workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise warehouse staff and oversee general warehouse operation.
  • Ensure warehouse performance meets company goals.
  • Evaluate and report on warehouse activity.
  • Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Record and maintain inventory at all OEC sites.
  • Perform and lead daily cycle counts.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy and documentation.
  • Research discrepancies, reconciliations, and issues.
  • Help identify, evaluate, and dispose of aged inventory.
  • Research and resolve order issues.
  • Work with shipping carriers to resolve logistics issues.
  • Optimize warehouse daily workflow and preparations.
  • Minimize order cycle time.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and logs are updated.
  • Monitor shipping, packing, janitorial supplies, and order as needed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain records, report relevant information, and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Communicate, collaborate, and train other team members on ship/receive processes at all OEC sites.
  • Help plan, utilize, and optimize work-space/areas.
  • Monitor quality, safety rules, and standards for the warehouse/shipping area and ensure compliance.
  • Minimize mistakes and ensure process compliance is met daily.
  • Help develop and improve warehouse process, procedures, and efficiency measures for continuous improvement.
  • Help expedite stock orders as needed, utilizing open purchase order reports and vendor portals.
  • Communicate with vendors and all OEC locations as needed to resolve issues with purchase orders and parts.

Requirements:

  • Two to three years related experience or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods (UPS/FedEX/LTL).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Epicor, P21 a plus.
  • Oil & Gas materials/parts background a plus but not required.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
