Job Title: Shipping Supervisor

At Empower Pharmacy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shipping Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely dispatch of our innovative medications to patients across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the daily shipping operations to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of goods.
  • Monitor loading and unloading of shipments to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Perform audits to ensure efficient packing and labeling of products.
  • Accountable for driving performance within the Shipping department, and for monitoring department performance against company standards.
  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of shipping clerks.
  • Manage shipping clerk schedules to provide excellent order processing performance.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shipping area.
  • Resolve shipping issues while actively preventing its recurrence.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and enforce shipping policies and procedures to optimize operations.
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
  • Determine the standards for packaging quality, appearance, durability, cost, and sustainability.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members, supporting their growth and success within the organization.
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Prepare performance evaluations for employees.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and developing new shipping clerks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including dates, contents, and destinations.
  • Ensure that inventory levels are accurate, and that stock is managed efficiently.
  • Follow all cleanliness procedures utilizing the 5S methodology.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a shipping department or related function.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
