- Record patient histories, symptoms, and vital signs accurately in the electronic medical records (EMR) system, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Prepare exam rooms by ensuring cleanliness and readiness with necessary supplies and equipment, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
- Administer injections, medications, and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers, following established protocols and procedures.
- Perform lab duties, including specimen collection, processing, and conducting routine tests, ensuring accurate and timely results.
- Label, prepare, and transport lab samples according to protocols, maintaining quality control and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient education on lab procedures, health maintenance, and follow-up care, promoting patient engagement and empowerment.
- Communicate test results and assist with patient follow-up regarding lab findings, ensuring clear and concise communication.
- Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Strong point of care lab work experience, phlebotomy skills, and a high school diploma.
- BLS and Mandatory Reporter certification.
