As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in and enrich their community while achieving their personal, family, social, and spiritual goals.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-person daily support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, following their person-centered plans.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
- Encourage participation in social and community activities, and help develop relationships with friends, family, and community members.
- Monitor and provide support during awake overnight shifts, completing household upkeep tasks and remaining awake during the entire shift.
- Document services, medication administration, progress on goals, medical visits, incidents, and behavior according to Jubilee's policies.
- Maintain regular, open, and positive communication with supervisors, colleagues, and family members of the people you support.
- High School Diploma
- Bilingual, fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English
- Experience as a direct support professional is a plus, but not required
- Commitment to Jubilee's core values of respect and human dignity, self-determination, community, justice, ethical practices, and spiritual care
- Computer skills for using email and online data systems
- Current U.S. driver's license
