About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatrician - Developmental and Behavioral Specialist to join our team at the Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our Developmental Pediatrics program, you will play a vital role in providing consultation and professional services to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive neurodevelopmental/neurobehavioral evaluations and provide expert care to pediatric patients with developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in outreach efforts to community groups, including schools, childcare programs, and parent groups, to promote our services and support the special needs population.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical programs and services, including the evaluation and management of childhood development, behavioral, and psychosocial issues.
  • Participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, Center, and Hospital Committee meetings as deemed appropriate by the Director.
Requirements
  • MD/DO or equivalent degree.
  • Board eligible or certified in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
  • Existing or eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA, and CDS required.
  • Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience and/or an interest in the evaluation and management of children/youth with developmental disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills for both clinical and non-clinical audiences, in group settings or one-on-one.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to advance and develop a superior clinical service.
  • Ability to foster a respectful, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • Advocate for organizational values and commitment to gender equity and diversity.
