Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Maintenance: Inspect, test, and repair electrical lighting, signal communication, power circuits, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Design, plan, install, and repair all hospital electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances, adhering to equipment specifications and electrical building codes.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled tasks, record results, and maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Lighting and Electrical Supply Management: Order, maintain, and monitor an adequate supply of light bulbs and ballasts to ensure timely change-outs campus-wide.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain all electrical cords on tools and extension cords used in the hospital, and ensure proper grounding on a quarterly basis.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Respond to calls within 20 minutes and handle all emergencies or call for assistance.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety protocols; ability to design, plan, and install electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or training in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a healthcare setting.
