Position Summary
K2 Staffing is seeking a dedicated Help Desk Support Level II Technician / SysAdmin to join our client's dynamic IT Solutions Company. The primary responsibility of the IT Technician is to ensure seamless system operations and functionality, enabling end users to effectively perform their business tasks. Collaborating with an established team, you will leverage your expertise to address various requests while consistently exceeding customer expectations in delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including:

  • Providing onsite support, installations, and project work as required.
  • Proactively monitoring systems to minimize reactive issues, allowing customers to concentrate on their core business.
  • Taking ownership of support tickets and ensuring timely resolution.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT Support Specialist or Systems Administrator, with direct end-user support.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to resolving issues thoroughly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to participate in night and weekend shifts as part of an on-call rotation.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems and Applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Networks.
  • Intermediate skills in managing networking devices such as firewalls and switches.
  • Proficient in administering Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD.
  • Familiarity with VPN technologies and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of DHCP and DNS management.
  • Experience with Virtual Environment Management (VMWare, Hyper-V).

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Familiarity with PSA and RMM tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as A+, Net+, Sec+, MCP, MCSA, MCSE.
  • Educational background in MIS or Computer Science.
