What You'll Do
  • Maintain a strong technical foundation focused on Systems Architecture and Engineering to deliver platforms that meet business requirements while continuously improving processes through Bank technologies and automation tools
  • Engage with the broader organization of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and technologists to foster communities that contribute to solutions and implementation, while adopting a Continuous Service Improvement approach to enhance IT operations, reduce risks, and improve system availability
  • Conduct technical assessments of the Production platform to identify and resolve performance and resilience challenges, serving as a role model for the Production Support teams
  • Comprehend the end-to-end data flow through the application infrastructure
  • Exhibit leadership qualities to promote the professional development of the team, focusing on critical thinking, strategic planning, and enhancing both technical and interpersonal skills
  • Create opportunities for team members to broaden their skill sets and develop well-rounded professionals
Skills You'll Need
  • Experience in IT within large corporate settings, particularly in controlled production environments or Financial Services Technology in client-facing roles
  • Familiarity with SRE principles and experience implementing Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its associated control gates, including Agile and DevOps practices, as well as complex IT infrastructures (UNIX, Database, Middleware, including Cloud technologies)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Capability to manage incidents, conduct problem management, and effectively communicate with business and operations stakeholders
Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Experience in implementing SRE models or substantial exposure to Agile and DevOps practices
  • Solid understanding of databases (Oracle/MSSQL, etc.), including experience writing SQL scripts and queries
  • Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux, Solaris, Java J2EE, PERL, Python, PowerShell scripts, Bash, Ansible, Control-M, Connect: Direct, Message Queue (MQ), Kafka, Informatica
  • Familiarity with tools such as GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Agile Frameworks, Geneos, Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, and knowledge of Cloud technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT discipline (or equivalent experience) and ITIL Foundations Certificate
