The Customer Service Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the daily operations and management of the Customer Services Department. This role requires the individual to function as a working Customer Service Supervisor (CSS), acting as a Customer Service Representative while simultaneously offering leadership and guidance to the Customer Service Team to ensure a high standard of service is delivered to all internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of daily Customer Service operations while providing support and supervision to the Customer Service Team.
  • Oversee the training and development of a team comprising 8-10 Customer Service Representatives.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain effective Customer Service scheduling.
  • Act as a liaison between Customer Service and other departments within the organization.
  • Continuously assess processes and seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance among team members with documentation requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Cultivate positive customer relationships and address escalations effectively.
  • Assist the team with inquiries related to daily operations, responsibilities, and best practices.
  • Conduct semi-annual and annual performance evaluations for employees.
  • Lead the recruitment process for new team members.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager on team performance, process enhancements, and policy implementation.
  • Engage in projects related to company and departmental objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; some college or a degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Customer Service Representative or in a leadership role.
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Excel, AS400, and Word.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team-oriented, reliable, and a strong leader.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High attention to detail is essential.
