Position Overview

The Riverside County Mental Health Rehabilitation Center (MHRC) operates as a licensed 79-bed sub-acute residential facility, offering comprehensive mental health recovery services around the clock. Our structured and secure inpatient environment is designed to assist clients in their transition to community living and lower levels of care.

Employment Type: Full Time; Night Shift 11:00 pm - 7:30 am; specific days to be determined.

Compensation: The expected starting wage range is competitive and varies based on geographic location and relevant experience.

Role Summary

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Supervisor II is responsible for overseeing and managing designated nursing staff during their assigned shifts. Under general supervision, this role involves program planning, development, and evaluation of clinical and administrative functions. The LVN Supervisor II utilizes critical thinking and independent judgment to lead a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that staff assignments align with client needs and individual team member strengths. This position also provides recovery-oriented services related to the safe administration of medical treatments, including medications as prescribed by physicians.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program and current licensure.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of LVN/LPT experience in a healthcare setting.
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience or completion of Telecare's supervisory training within 12 months.
  • Must maintain CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certifications throughout employment.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with the target population and/or in a similar program environment.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and their treatment, including psychotropic medications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exemplify the mission, values, and beliefs of Telecare in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Provide functional and administrative oversight for assigned nursing staff, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Utilize independent judgment to manage day-to-day operations and staff assignments based on client needs.
  • Ensure the delivery of nursing care and assist with admissions and discharge processes.
  • Collect and analyze data relevant to client care and develop care plans accordingly.
  • Administer medications and treatments, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this position include the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. The role may also involve exposure to hazardous materials.
