About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining high-performance front-end applications for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust, maintainable, and reusable code for managing functionality, configuration, deployment, monitoring, performance, scalability, availability, security, and alerting for software test, integration, and production environments.
  • Plan and implement a series of steps to enhance the application's functionality, resiliency, usability, and security.
  • Understand business, stakeholder, and technical requirements and assist in analyzing existing solutions to address needs.
  • Analyze system performance impacting the complete product for non-functional requirements like reliability, operability, performance efficiency, and security.
  • Troubleshoot performance and availability bottlenecks for the application.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test cases and deployment procedures.
  • Follow coding and design best practices and contribute to their continuous improvement.
  • Plan hardware capacity for high-traffic business events.
  • Design, build, and maintain observability aspects of the application.
  • Review peer code and help create a culture of continuous improvements on the architecture.
  • Work with stakeholders on launching AB tests for different functionalities.
Requirements
  • Experience in creating user interfaces using relevant technologies (e.g., HTML 5 coding, CSS libraries like Bootstrap).
  • Relevant front-end programming experience in languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, Spring, Node, React, Angular).
  • Experience integrating with scalable back-end services (e.g., REST, graph-QL).
  • Experience in functional, integration, and E2E testing tools and practices.
  • Experience with code repositories and version control practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
  • Automated deployment experience is a plus.
  • Experience in software quality and operational excellence practices.
  • Experience in agile development methodology.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

What We Offer

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.
