Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Manage the sales team to ensure effective sales processes and procedures
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance and provide insights for improvement
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement sales and marketing campaigns
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in hospitality sales or a related field
  • Proven track record of sales success and revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours

Fundamental Requirements

  • Pro-actively solicit accounts within assigned market
  • Able to travel and attend parties, trade shows, sales meetings, and business meetings
  • Develop and execute sales action plans
  • Assist Director of Sales with projects and assigned accounts to maximize revenues
  • Prepare proposals and contracts
  • Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeated groups using social media, outside calls, and telemarketing
  • Define company brand through events
  • Ensure staff is adequately prepared and informed for events
  • Experience with military voucher programs, family reunions, religious, and sports group sales
  • Pay vendors for their participation in events and provide receipts if needed
  • Ability to travel and work weekends and evenings as needed
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to self-teach
  • Must have the ability to work cohesively with the sales team and communicate new processes and keep everyone informed and updated
