Job Summary:

The Fabrication Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the shop floor, including training in all activities pertaining to fabrication, assembly, and quality control. The successful candidate will work closely with the lead to enforce all policies and procedures, and will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to Victaulic's standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enforce a safe work environment and report incidents, near misses, and safety-related matters to the lead or management.
  • Perform daily shop floor operations, including quality control and material management.
  • Ensure all equipment is certified and maintained, and that all 5S duties are completed.
  • Work with the Fab lead to address project issues and meet all goals.
  • Responsible for TPMs and checklists, and for ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • High School degree required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings, and interpret technical manuals.
  • Previous forklift experience and a valid forklift license.
  • Experience with forklift-mounted computers and bar-code scanners.
  • Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds.
