Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Assembler/Soldering Specialist to join our team at Butler America Aerospace, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components using IPC 610 and IPC-J-STD standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify correct part placement and orientation using a microscope, and manually align parts before soldering.
  • Perform post-re-flow inspection and touch-up to ensure high-quality solder joints.
  • Identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids, and other solder defects.
  • Read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with some overtime required.
  • Sit for long periods of time and focus on tedious tasks.
Requirements:
  • IPC-610 Certification (expired or active)
  • IPC J-STD-001 Certification (expired or active)
  • Experience using rework equipment such as hot air pencils, hot plates, and BGA removal (ERSA or other OEM)
  • Experience running, soldering, and tacking down jumper wires on re-design boards
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Familiarity with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects
