Patient Care Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Associate to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support activities that promote patient-focused care within our Specialty Service.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living, collect specimens, and perform procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment, including ensuring patient comfort and mobility.
- Perform one-to-one observation or close observation status of patients, as needed.
- Utilize the Vocera system to communicate with the team and ensure seamless care delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including generating reports and maintaining accurate records.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of the Patient Care Associate Orientation Program offered at Mount Sinai Hospital.
- Three to nine months of healthcare experience preferred.
- Venipuncture and EKG skills required.
- Certificate of Medical Assistant training or equivalent.
- Heartsaver Certification from the American Heart Association and/or BCLS.
